The Meridian Banquet & Conference Center in Rolling Meadows, Illinois was the setting for our 40-Year Class Reunion. The evening was was filled with friends, food, drinks, dancing and prizes. Most of all, remembering the past, sharing stories of our lives now, and meeting new friends. On Friday night September 12th the H.O.M.E. Bar in Arlington Heights served as the "Meet N' Greet " gathering for nearly 80+ alumni from not only the class of 1974, but classes members from 72-77.
We welcomed quite a few of those additional classes at our main event on Saturday night as well. "The More the Merrier!"
Our Keynote speaker was none other than English teacher of 35 years at Hersey, Mr. Ed Moon. He hasn't changed a bit. He's terrific!! Mike Glink, our Committee Chairperson deserves so much credit for all the work and hours he devoted to this event.
The votes are in....From what our committee members have heard in Emails, in person and from social media, nearly all the comments from the attendees on Saturday night walked away with a smile and could not wait until we start to make plans for our next reunion. If you were not able to attend this reunion and would be interested in attending our next event, please contact us. This invitation is not limited to our graduating class of 1974. It is open to any class of JHHS in the 70's.
